Thanks to Gloria for recommending the book, “Founding Mothers: The Women Who Raised Our Nation” by Cokie Roberts. The book is about the women who fought the American Revolution; a social history. Read the reviews on Amazon. Someone else recommended: “America’’s Women- 400 years of Dolls, Drudges, Helpmates and Heroines” by Gail Collins as more in-depth coverage of a similar subject.
