Join us from 9:00am to 2:00pm July 15 as we clear invasive plants in the Cedar River Watershed. This event is for workers over 12 years old.
Friends of the Cedar River Watershed sets up work teams to clear Tansy Ragwort. The work is fun and not too challenging. They will drive us way back into the watershed, and have us clear tansy from the road edges. It is a tall plant, so very little bending is required. We basically cut off the flowers and then pull the plant out the ground and leave it there. For lunch they will drive us to the river’s edge.
Meet near the Cedar River Watershed Education Center in the North Bend area. Please RSVP to info@ethicalculturesociety.org if you are interested or if you would like more information.
