Freethinkers’ Potluck Picnic
Friday July 3, 2009
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

at Ravenna Park picnic area
2000 NE 58th Street
Seattle, WA 98105

Each year the Northwest Freethought Coalition (NWFC) celebrates Independence Day and the recent arrival of summer with a potluck picnic. All NWFC group members, friends and unaffiliated freethinkers are invited to this event on Friday, July 3, 2009. Bring food to eat and to share. Drinks, plates, utensils, condiments are provided. The site includes a covered shelter, grills, 10 picnic tables and play area and trails nearby. Bring blankets, lawn chairs and games if you like. As always, good conversation is part of the day. Great raffle prizes will be awarded!

The picnic is at Ravenna Park (2000 NE 58th Street) in Seattle, a convenient and large location that last year drew approximately 200 over the course of the day. The daily schedule will be determined later, but the event will begin around 1 pm with eating starting about 2 pm. Our park reservation runs into the evening.

NWFC member groups include the Ethical Culture Society of Puget Sound, University Unitarian Humanists, Humanists of North Puget Sound, Freethinkers’ United Network, Seattle Atheists, Tacoma Atheists, Secular Jewish Circle of Puget Sound and various other groups.

Enter the parking area from 20th Ave NE where it crosses NE 58th St., north of Ravenna Blvd.
